Ted is a retired law enforcement officer for the city of Dallas, Texas. He and his wife, Brenna are active teaching members of First Baptist Church of Maypearl. Ted has been instrumental in the ministry of No Place Like Home from its beginning following the Haiti earthquake of 2010. Read more about Ted here.
Jacques Alexandre, Board Member, Vice President
Jacques has been a faithful church-planting missionary in Haiti since 1989. Jacques and his wife Marie founded No Place Like Home orphanage in Port-au-Prince in 2010 following the earthquake as a way to care for the many children whose lives were devastated from this natural disaster. Jacques and Marie continue to lead the ministry which includes church planting, feeding centers, Bible institute, children’s school, and the orphanage. Read Jacques’ story here.
Joe serves as Director of Corporate Relations for ProVia in Sugarcreek, Ohio. Also, he is an active member at Canton Baptist Temple. Joe’s involvement with No Place Like Home began when he, Darlene, and their two teenage daughters served at the orphanage for a couple weeks in 2014. Since that time, Joe has actively promoted the ministry of NPLH, and assisting with the orphanage expansion project.
Gary and his wife Cheryl own and operate Loper Pipe Organ Service Company in Oak Leaf, Texas. Gary is a teaching elder and member of session at Central Presbyterian in Waxahachie where he chairs the Mission Ministry Team. Gary and Cheryl have a special love for the ministry in Haiti since their granddaughter Dachena McDivit was the first child to be adopted from No Place Like Home.
Brandon McDivit, Board Member
Brandon and his wife Lori were the first to adopt a child (Dachena) from No Place Like Home Orphanage. Brandon is passionate about physical adoption being a picture of spiritual adoption that God the Father offers to us through the finished work of His son, Jesus Christ. Brandon owns and operates NTFLT in Midlothian, Texas.
Diane has served in the alarm industry for 30 years, and she is an Account Manager for Texas Electronic Systems Specialists. She attends Crossroads Church in Grand Prairie, Texas. Diane has a deep passion for missions and has previously served in Belize. On her first trip to Haiti in 2011, she fell in love with No Place Like Home and has been actively involved with the ministry in Haiti ever since.
Chad Renfro, Board Member
Chad serves as Chief Information Security Officer – Technology Risk Executive at Fidelity Investments. Chad has a deep love for not only the ministry of No Place Like Home, but also for the growth and development of children throughout Haiti.
